PHILOSOPHY
HERE AT FIRST ECHELON WE BELIEVE IN DEMOCRACY AND THE FREEDOM TO EXPRESS YOUR OPINION
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Our organization is direct democracy where the electorate, in this case members that have earned their “operator” status, decide on policy initiatives without any elected representatives as proxies. The founder, intellectual owner, and commanding offier of First Echelon acts as the figurehead of the organization, and is the leader of the admiralty/administration that is responsible for carrying out the will of the elecorate. It’s also the commanding officer’s duty to safe guard the well being of the organization, and protect its core tenets. Which is why he retains the right to veto policy initiatives if needed. Other members of the fleet’s admiralty may include but is not limited to battle group commanders (game organizers), wing commanders (squad/squadron leaders), and recruiters.
CORE TENETS
We pledge ourselves to follow the values of democracy, honor, and courage. All men and women should have the right to represent themselves and be able to voice concerns without the fear of reprisals. We shall conduct ourselves with honor and integrity, and we will have the courage to stand up for one another.
HISTORY
First Echelon was originally founded as a Halo clan under the name Soldiers of Liberty back in 2018. Recruitment was slow at first, but our popularity quickly rose after the release of the Halo: Master Chief Collection on Steam (PC) in 2019. A number of changes, like the name and brand was made by way of popular vote.

Sadly, autoritarian clan leaders, elitist social hierarchies, and otherwise toxic environments has become the norm in today’s gaming communities. My goal is to change that and offer players a place where they can enjoy the many wonders of being part of a gaming organization, without the downsides. Our vision is that clans and other forms of video game communities return to popularity. And with a larger emphasis on cooperation and comradery over personal ambitions.
